MS (MIS/HOM)
Degree Information
The Master’s of Science in Management Information Systems (HOM) is designed to enable students to understand both health care organizational issues and information systems.

Curriculum
In addition to the MS curriculum, students will take the 7-course concentration in Health Organization Management.

Admissions
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates applying for the MS (MIS/HOM) Program typically have:
- Undergraduate work in the major subject (MIS, Operations Management, Business Statistics, etc...)
Admissions Process
The admissions process for the MS (MIS/HOM) is comprised of three separate applications.
- Graduate School Application:
- Paper or electronic application
- Requires a $50 fee or a fee waiver
- Transcripts for all previous schools
- GMAT scores
- Business School Application
- Paper or electronic application
- Resume
- Essay
- Two letters of recommendation
- HOM
- One page paper or electronic application submitted during the initial application process. It cal also be submitted once a candidate has begun their MBA degree
Deadlines
Though the MS Program has rolling admissions, we encourage students to apply early.
For new applicants:
- Submit your complete MBA application, including the HOM application
For currently enrolled students who began their MS during the Summer of Fall semesters:
- Submit the HOM application to the Graduate Services Center
- This will allow students to begin during the Spring semester, the beginning of the lock-step program
