Mark A. Thompson, Ph.D.Associate ProfessorAssociate Director, Health Organization Management ProgramMark A. Thompson is the Associate Director of MBA Programs in Health Organization Management at Texas Tech University. He joined the HOM Program in 2009 and has worked in the fields of health care economics, risk analysis, and operations management. Currently, he serves as the co-editor of International Journal of Information and Operations Management Education and on the editorial board of two other journals. Dr. Thompson has previously held positions as the Cree-Walker Chair of Business Administration at Augusta State University, as State Economic Forecaster at the University of Arkansas - Little Rock, and as Assistant Professor at Stephen F. Austin State University. He received his doctoral degree in economics from Texas Tech University in 2003.
