Ph.D. (Minor in HOM)
Degree Information
PhD in Business Administration with a minor in HOM- HOM is a support field of study (minor) for doctoral students in the Rawls College of Business Administration. The Center for Healthcare Innovation, Education and Research (CHIER) has context-specific research programs clearly focusing on health care management strategy in ambulatory health care management, including medical group practice management, and on international health care management. The HOM Program utilizes both the teaching and research resources of the Center and of the Area of Management to combine functional business knowledge and research with the latest knowledge in health care, and is able to support intellectually both masters and doctoral level students.
Curriculum
The doctoral specialization in management is highly individualized in the area of the student’s major interest. Each student’s degree plan is designed to develop a firm grasp of the overall discipline and of current management research, as well as in-depth expertise in a specific sub-area of management.
